Vintage Gold Bars

Vintage gold bars are individually sourced, cast 1 kg gold bars stamped with the marks of well-known Swiss banks and refiners — including Bank Leu, Credit Suisse, Union Bank of Switzerland and Valcambi.

Many of these names no longer appear in their original form: Bank Leu merged into Credit Suisse, the Union Bank of Switzerland name passed into history in the 1998 banking merger, and Credit Suisse was absorbed by UBS in 2023. This is what makes the bars appealing to collectors, since marks like these are no longer produced.

Each bar is unique: the maker, year of manufacture and surface patina vary, and the details and photos of each are presented per product. The authenticity of every vintage bar has been verified by Voima Refining Oy, and the weight has been separately checked. The bars are stamped to a fineness of 999.9 investment gold, so the sale is exempt from VAT, and each comes with a certificate of authenticity.
